Last chance to support the path!
Plans were submitted on 23rd August 2010. The reference numbers to write in support will be available in about a week.
Plans have been submitted for a traffic-free path for families, walkers, cyclists, runners, mobility vehicles, wheelchair users and horse-riders by Sustrans.
The path will follow the disused 19th Century Wye Valley Railway line between Chepstow, Brockweir and Tintern.
Plans have been turned down on two previous occasions. Sustrans have changed the plans, taking into account previous objections, and has submitted them for a final time. The money that Sustrans has been given by the lottery for this project has to be spent in a timeframe, which means if the planning application is not successful this time they will have to spend it elsewhere.
At a time when services and amenites are being cut we cannot afford to turn down this exciting opportunity to access the Wye Valley without our cars.

The Forest of Dean and District Horse Riders and Carriage Drivers Association is delighted at the cooperation shown by Sustrans in recognising that equestrians will benefit from sharing in this safe off-road riding route and fully including them in the planning application.
