The New Bridge
Sustrans commissioned two designs and both options were discussed at the public consultations. The public favourite was the underslung truss and this will be the design that is put forward for planning by Sustrans.
The video below features this bridge and shows a deck widened to 2.5 m from 2.0 in response to the public preference apparent from the consultation.

One of the reasons why I am in favour of a valley floor cycle path is that I want cyclists to be able to enjoy the Wye Valley in the same way that car drivers can but without posing a risk to themselves or other road users.
